The Kawacatoose First Nation Chief, Council, staff and membership invites everyone to come out to Kawacatoose on November 11 & 12, 2016, for their annual Veterans Day Pow Wow.
A Remembrance Day service will be held at the Pow Wow on November 11– all veterans are welcome. The service is also being held to honour Kawacatoose First Nation’s surviving WWII veteran Michael LaPlante, who was honoured overseas in France and became a Knight of that country.
“We invite everybody over to come and enjoy the Pow Wow during the two days with us,” says Caroline Poorman. “We welcome all visitors, dancers, and singers.”
Sponsors for the Pow Wow are Touchwood Agency Tribal Council Community Development Corporation, and BHP Billiton.
Kawacatoose First Nation is located 100 miles north of Regina, Saskatchewan, and 9 KM north of Raymore, Saskatchewan. There will be signs around the community to get to the Pow Wow.
